Academics
- Players top priorities
- Players must communicate with teachers when class will be missed due to tennis
- Tutorials will be scheduled before or after school. Not during tennis class!
- Expect to practice every day.
- Be on time to practice.
- JV practice starts at 1st period, 9:00am daily.
- Varsity practice starts at 2:55 – 5:00pm.
- Must wear the appropriate practice attire.
- Always have a water bottle or jug.
- Not suiting out can and will affect your grade.
- Practice Attire – must purchase Lone Star tennis t-shirts. Shorts must be either Navy, Grey or White.
- Match Attire – Players will be issued a match uniform. It must be worn at all matches
- Be prepared for cold weather with sweats.
- Hats must be approved by the coaches, must be navy, white or grey and has to be worn facing forward at all times.
- Hair/Grooming – All players must be well groomed at all times. Male hair length should be no longer than to mid-ear on the side and the top of the collar in the back. Males cannot wear earrings or have facial hair.
- All payers must join SportsYou
- Player must let the coaches know if they will be missing practice.
- Player must bring a note after a missed practice.
- Parent note is good for 2 days and then a doctor’s note is required
- Players must be able to attend all matches.
- Must be in correct LSHS attire.
- Must ride the bus to and from all matches.
- Team Tennis matches are untimed events starting between 4:00pm-4:30pm and can last four to five hours.
- Must be able to attend all tournaments.
- Tournaments are all-day events.
- Players must come prepared – extra rackets, towel, money (to purchase food or snacks), extra shirts, water jug, snacks and drinks.
- Each player is issued a locker.
- We cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen items/articles.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the locker rooms
- We will travel to all off-campus matches in a FISD vehicle. Travelling with the team to and from competitions is a requirement. Team building is an important part of our program.
- If an emergency arises and requires a player to leave, the parent needs to communicate with the coach.
